Hamersley is located in the City of Stirling, 14 kilometres north of Perth.
The area has a residential population of about 5,000 and covers about
3.3 square kilometres. Development of the area initially commenced in
1996, when housing blocks were sold by the State Government for a price
of less than $5000.
Erindale Road runs north south through the area, which is bordered by
Wanneroo Road/Indian Ocean Drive to the east, Reid Highway to the
south, Mitchelle Freeway to the west and Beach Road to the north.
The Perth National Broadcasting Service Transmission Station is located in the south east corner of the area.
